Performance

"This was the most integrated team environment I have been in, certainly in terms of positivity, creativity and progression." - Crisis performer in Sawdust

Hidden Spire brings together professional artists and people with experience of homelessness, plus members of the wider community, to create performances using music, dance, theatre, visual arts and more. The team is assembled and work together every step of the way - everything from set design, script-writing and front-of-house is done as a collaboration between the artists and clients of national homeless charity Crisis.

Hidden Spire isn’t just a production, it’s a process. The focus on producing the highest quality show means people push themselves out of their comfort zone and achieve something they may not have believed they were capable of. Time and again, they produce a remarkable event and keep audiences enchanted, amused, and intrigued.

You can learn more about the process in the documentary Life Is A Circus, which aired on BBC Four in 2019
