The writing in this project is a result of the second project of the hidden spire collective: your story.

 

Your story was a writing project by Oxford-based poet, Rawz, who led four writing sessions with members of the Hidden Spire collective, exploring themes of place, memory, and ritual.

Together we walked the streets of our city, encouraged to look up and notice, to take things we walk by on a daily basis, remember places that mean something to us and evoke memories, and explore the pattern of ritual as we come in and out of the city, and walk it street.

The collection of writing in the booklet results from these four sessions. Each writer also created a print of one of their pieces at the Bodleian bibliographical press; it is from these that the illustrations in this book are drawn.

The prints were re-exhibited in 2024 as part of the Oxfordshire Artweeks at the Bodleian Print Library.
