Hidden Spire is a collaboration

Hidden Spire is a project created within the Old Fire Station in central Oxford. This unique building houses two separate organisations, Arts at the Old Fire Station and Crisis Skylight Oxford, under one roof.

A centre for creativity in the heart of Oxford, welcoming to all. We encourage people from all backgrounds to understand and shape the world in which we live through stories, creativity and the arts, and by connecting with others.

The Old Fire Station:
– Produces and presents across art forms
– Helps people to be creative
– Supports artists
– Includes people facing tough times because of disadvantage
– Works with communities across Oxford

We are the national charity for homeless people. We are dedicated to ending homelessness by delivering life-changing services and campaigning for change. Crisis Skylight Oxford provides:

  • one-to-one support to address each person's individual needs. Our aim is to help people leave homelessness behind for good, whatever their situation.

  • practical and creative workshops and formal learning in a supportive and inspiring environment, helping homeless people to restore their wellbeing, build their basic skills, gain qualifications and raise their aspirations.

  • a café training scheme, building people's confidence and supporting them into employment.

Together we offer a public space which is shared by very different people. It helps to break down barriers and promotes solidarity in Oxford.
