Training Scheme

“A lot of homeless charities solely focus on your current difficulties and the everyday struggles rather than nurturing what someone has the potential to become.” – Crisis client

The Hidden Spire Training Scheme is a bespoke, tailored training course for people experiencing homelessness who seek help from Crisis Skylight Oxford.

Trainees work with us to learn about any element of our work which interests them – this could be in our theatre and gallery, but also in our office working on finance, fundraising, marketing and operations.

As a result, people come away with knowledge, confidence, qualifications and references. And the Old Fire Station team learn new perspectives on how we can run things differently.

We are delighted to be able to give our staff time to this important work. We need community support to pay for things like travel and refreshments which are vital in enabling people experiencing homelessness to come and work with us every day. Please give what you can.
